About us

NEBS - A NEPALESE SCHOOL FOR EVERYONE

Dear friends, prospects and supporters of our school aid project.

First of all, thank you very much for your donations, which have made a major contribution to continuing our intentions to develop the school into an independent educational institution with exemplary character for the region.
Much has already been achieved (as described below) and there is still a lot to do. For this we ask for your further help (see need for support).

Previous support
through ANDOC

In order to provide quality education for poorer families, especially girls, school fees were significantly lower than those of other private schools, leaving teachers' salaries far below the average for other private schools, after deduction of operating costs for the school ,

In addition to our support in the first few years after the NEBS was established, ANDOC provided regular training with quality education and minimum salaries for teachers and necessary acquisitions. In cooperation with the school management of NEBS and with the support of an expert of German origin, who is active in organic farming in Nepal since many years, the following projects have been designed and successfully implemented with the help from ANDOC:
  • Rent of a property for the creation and management of a plantation
  • Purchase of a tractor for the part of the school organized wage work for various regional transports

Current projects

NEBS received a letter from the Nepalese state in early 2017 calling for:
The private schools must have a private property within 5 years.
Within 10 years, the school buildings must also be owned by the schools.

With the additional, extremely generous donation from supporters of our school aid project, it has now been possible to finance the purchase of land and the construction of the school building currently required.
